FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Here you can find out more about Firexo.
From fire classes to where to buy Firexo, we’ve got you covered with our FAQ section!
How do Firexo fire ratings compare against others?
Firexo’s fire ratings are highly competitive against every other extinguisher in the market. In fact, in a lot of cases Firexo maxes the fire tests available meaning there are not big enough fires in the test for Firexo.
In addition, Firexo can tackle all fires, beat that! To see the fire tests we have performed and what we have tested against please click HERE.
Do other distributors supply Firexo?
The smart ones do and others will too that do not want to get left behind.
Are there any special requirements when servicing?
A Firexo service providers’s trained engineer would service a Firexo extinguisher in the same way they would any other extinguisher; the extinguisher vessel and its components are broadly the same as others. However, the Firexo solution inside is totally different.
I have a powder fire extinguisher currently, is this enough?
Please contact one of our service providers for advice and they will carry out a fire risk assessment.
The use of powder extinguishers indoors can result in a sudden reduction of visibility causing disorientation jeopardizing escape, and can be harmful if inhaled. For this reason, powder extinguishers should generally not be specified for use indoors unless mitigated by a health and safety risk assessment.

No, definitely not, and we would certainly not advise this in any circumstances; no credible company would promote this in any form. There are many parts to a fire extinguisher other than the vessel itself, such as the pressure gauge, handles, hose, nozzle, down pipe etc. etc. If, for example, a pressure gauge was faulty only a trained engineer could tell this with the equipment they carry. If ever faced with a fire, you need some assurances your extinguishers will work. The fire safety order exists for this purpose. Article 3 explains the meaning of a “responsible person” which means the owner or ultimate responsible person for a business, and their
