Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions? Our team is here to help – contact us for more information.
What class of fires will Firexo extinguish?
Firexo ALL FIRES Extinguishers are suitable for use on all fire types. Tested safe and highly effective for A, B, C, D (Magnesium), Electrical, F and Lithium-ion battery fires.
Firexo extinguishers are certified to available and relevant standards, and tested where regulatory certifications are not available or specified.
How can I dispose of a Firexo fire extinguisher?
Once used, damaged or expired, Firexo extinguishers must be disposed of properly. To dispose of a used-depressurized vessel, follow your local recycling program rules. To dispose of a damaged or expired vessel that still has charged pressure, reach out to your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program or local Fire Department. A pressurised container, such as a fire extinguisher, is considered an explosive due to the danger the compressed vessel may cause to the surroundings.
Can I recharge a Firexo fire extinguisher?
Firexo extinguishers are fully rechargeable, which can be done independently only by suitably qualified individuals. Firexo do not offer this service directly, but we will be happy to share information on Firexo appointed and authorised partners. Please use the contact form to contact us, and our team will assist you.
What should I do if there is damage to the product?
If the pressure gauge is within the green area, indicates a correctly pressurised unit.
The expandable nature of the nitrogen gas that is used to pressurise the extinguisher means that there can be fluctuations in the gauge reading during changeable conditions such as delivery, and environmental factors. As long as the reading is within the green area when the product is returned to its correct setting under stable conditions, then you can rest assured that your extinguisher is in good working order.
We would recommend to check regularly for signs of damage, tampering etc. and if you are in any doubt of the integrity of the unit we would suggest that the unit be replaced or serviced, whichever is appropriate for your product type or situation.
Although rare, defects can occur as a result of improper storage and/or handling, and it may not always be immediately apparent if an item has been compromised, for example, during delivery. Firexo Warranty and product support are here to help you if you should need us now or in the future.

I received the extinguisher – what is next? How do I prepare it for possible use?
Please check the instructions on the fire extinguisher label to learn more about its use.
Is the date shown on the product an expiry date?
No, the date shown on the product is the manufacturer’s date. It does not represent an expiry date – the full product warranty starts from the date of purchase.
Is the liquid of the Firexo extinguisher safe for people and animals?
Firexo fire extinguishers are safe for the environment and ecosystems. Our solution is made to minimise destruction and danger to the environment, and reduce any long term affects from fire damage – it is eco-friendly and PFAS/PFOA free.
After extinguishing a fire, it is recommended that the affected areas be wiped down with warm soapy water, and any areas that are exposed to food preparation or eating should be additionally cleaned afterwards in a standard hygienically safe way.
